It sounds a little crazy, yes?
Scarves- the very thing that are supposed to wrap us in warmth and comfort all winter long- can also be the same accessories that help us make it through the blazing hot summers. It’s currently 98 degrees outside and sticky humid but I have a scarf in my bag.
.
Still wondering if I’ve gone off the deep end? No, I’m not one of those people who is cold all the time- quite the opposite- I’m usually the one begging my coworkers to turn the air down “just for a little bit.” And yet, I carry scarves with me in the summer. Here is are my top 3 reasons why:
.
A scarf can give you just the tiniest bit more dressiness or coverage in a restaurant that you didn’t expect to be a nice as it is.
.
Movie theaters tends to overcompensate for the warm temps outside. And I don’t know about you, but I can’t pay attention to a 90 minute rom-com or action flick if my teeth are distracting me with their chattering.
.
Vacations are stressful enough and when you realize you have forgotten something critical, such as your pool coverup- you might head into a tailspin. Not to worry- do you have a large pareo or soft pashmina in your bag (surely you do). Then you also have a pool coverup to wear to the tropical bar and walk around the resort.
